Happy New Year, everyone. I hope my readers will have a great year, and will meet a lot of sweet people in 2006!
I have reported my volunteering activity at Kirara here, but all the children at Kirara graduated, and we finished our Kirara meetings now. The children at Kirara will have to go into workshop places to start earning money by themselves, so in this winter, we did a Christmas party and our own graduation ceremony for the children. It is sad that we will not be able to get together so often any more, but Kirara this time was very happy, smily, and touching especialy.
Since Kirara this time was our last getting together, we invited all the people who have visited Kirara since Kirara was started 7-8 years ago! I am a member of Kirara for a year, so this time, it was very exciting to meet, and talk with many volunteering people who know Kirara's history more than me.
There were especially many people at the Christmas party. We shared yummy dinner & cakes(Kirara mothers' cooking! lovely!), and played some games together. There were a lot of prizes for the winners of the Bingo-game we did. We made pairs with the children as usual, and My partner and I could get snacks as the prize:) It was such a lot of fun and really exciting. We also took a lot of pictures. I wish I could attach them here. Oh, I am so bad at computers!
Throughout the experience at Kirara, I have leaned a lot of important lessons. At Kirara, we had a very relaxing, at-home, happy atmospher always, but then I thought, if I just wanted to have some fun, and enjoyed the day with Kirara children and other people and leave, that was that. And if I could think and see more carefully and notice that the children needed my supporting or that the mothers seemed to want somebody's help, there was the chance that I could make the day better. It is great to meet people and chat and enjoy, but if I look around and can notice, there are the chances that I can have more fun:)
And my most shinning impression about Kirara is the mothers' happy characters. The five mothers of Kirara children are very happy, smily, funny, friendly, outgoing, curious, such lovely women. Seeing the mothers, I came to beleive that such shinning people have atmospher which make others feel happy, and gravitate other shinning people to themselves. So I hope that I can always have such a happy atmospher around me just like the Kirara mothers, the sweet women who I always admired, and I was always happy to meet with, so that I will always be able to have such lovely, happy, shinning people around me in my life.
