I went to a good-bye festival of Fujiidera Baseball Stadium today. It is the closest baseball stadium to my house, as it is in my town, and I would ofetn went there to watch professional baseball games and high school baseball of Osaka tournament. I am a big fan of baseball too, so it is a bit sad thing that the stadium will be taken down, and houses will be buit there. The stadium used to be called Fuji-kyu among its fans.
The festival was held on this Saturday and Sunday, and it was free to enter. There were a lot of food booths outside, and it was so crowded with lots of people. I was especially excited because I knew that we could enter its ground! I could walk around a players' benches, pitcher's mound, outfield, etc! It was a real baseball stadium's ground! Can you believe it? Usually people can enter only the audience seats when they go to see games, but you know, today was special. I took some photos from different angles. I could not believe that I was really on the ground of Fuji-kyu!
There were also many sections of entertainments on its ground. Misora Hibari's younger sister sang many songs on her stage, and young kids performed dances. There was a sports competitions, and I listened to Mr.Murakami's talk show. Mr. Murakami was a player in Kintetsu-Buffalos which used Fuji-kyu as its homeground. His talk was funny, and he is good-looking! However, the funnniest section was a concert of a middle aged man. This man sang and danced as if he was Eikichi Yazawa. Yes, the man imitated Eichan. It was very funny to see him, as it seemed that he really believed that he was Eichan! It was so much fun^^.
There are not many people who are interested in baseball around me, so I hope many blogger will get interested in my story of this post. I am going to miss Fuji-kyu, but of course, I am a big baseball fan forever!
